Pete & The Great Pumpkin Light

Adventure #1...The Great Pumpkin Light... *Pete's Great Pumpkin Adventure* 

"Pete the Pinto was beyond excited as he trotted out of the corral, his spotted coat shining in the autumn sunlight. His best friend, a little Peanuts-inspired Linus-like donkey named Benny, stood by his side, clutching a small wooden cross, and his favorite blankey. 'Today's the day, Benny!' Pete exclaimed. 'We're going to the pumpkin patch to find the Great Pumpkin... of Light!' Benny looked up at Pete with big, curious eyes. 'You mean the one that's supposed to bring us closer to Jesus?' he asked. Pete nodded enthusiastically. 'That's the one! I've heard that if we search the patch with pure hearts, we'll find the pumpkin that shines with the Light of the World.' As they arrived at the pumpkin patch, Pete's eyes grew wide with wonder. Row upon row of orange pumpkins stretched out before them, their stems reaching towards the sky like nature's own cathedral. Pete and Benny wandered through the vines, searching for the perfect pumpkin. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the patch, Pete and Benny stumbled upon a particularly large and peculiar pumpkin, that was white in color. It seemed to glow with an otherworldly light, and Pete's heart skipped a beat. 'Could this be it, Benny?' Pete whispered, his voice full of awe. Benny approached the pumpkin cautiously, his wooden cross held tightly in his teeth. As they drew closer, the light grew brighter, illuminating the surrounding pumpkins and casting no shadows. Suddenly, a gentle voice spoke to Pete and Benny, 'I am the Light of the World. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.' Pete and Benny looked at each other, and then back at the pumpkin. They realized that the Great Pumpkin of Light wasn't a physical pumpkin at all, but a symbol of the love and light that Jesus brings to their lives. Tears of joy filled Pete's eyes as he turned to Benny. 'We found it, my friend! We found the true meaning of the season. Jesus is the light that shines brightest in our hearts!' Benny nodded in agreement, and together they bowed their heads in prayer, thanking Jesus for guiding them on their adventure. As they left the pumpkin patch, the moon rose high in the sky, casting a silver glow over the vines. Pete and Benny knew that they would always cherish the memory of their Great Pumpkin Adventure, and the light of Jesus that would forever shine in their hearts. "
